Conservation is built into the journey.
At Tidetribe, we believe tourism should do more than bring people to the coast. It should help protect the places, ecosystems and communities that make the journey worth taking.
As Tidetribe grows, we’re committed to directing part of our revenue towards projects that protect mangroves, restore coastal ecosystems and support the people working to keep our oceans healthy.
Explore the Philippines. Support its coast. Help keep it wild.

More than a boat trip.
When you book an activity through Tidetribe, you’re supporting more than a boat trip, island escape or ocean adventure. You’re helping create a tourism model where the success of travel can contribute to the long-term health of the places we visit.

Where our conservation focus lies.
Our conservation focus is centred around the ecosystems that make the Philippines’ coastline so special.

Mangrove restoration
Mangroves are among the most important ecosystems along the Philippine coast. They provide habitat for marine life, protect shorelines, store carbon and support coastal communities.
Tidetribe supports mangrove restoration and reforestation initiatives that help restore these vital coastal forests. Where possible, we aim to support projects that involve local communities and create long-term stewardship rather than simply planting trees and walking away.

Ocean & marine conservation
Healthy oceans are at the heart of every Tidetribe activity. We want to support initiatives working to protect marine habitats, reduce pressure on coastal ecosystems and encourage more responsible interaction with the sea.
This can include marine habitat restoration, coastal clean-ups, conservation education and projects that help communities protect the waters they depend upon.

Coastal communities
Conservation works best when local communities are part of it. Across the Philippines, coastal communities depend on healthy oceans and mangroves for food, livelihoods and protection.
We want our conservation efforts to support both nature and the people who live alongside it.
Where land meets sea.
Mangroves sit where land meets sea — and they play an extraordinary role in coastal ecosystems. For a travel company built around the ocean, supporting mangrove conservation feels like a natural place to start.

Livelihoods for coastal communities
Created in the Philippines, for the Philippines.
Tidetribe was created in the Philippines, and our relationship with the coast goes beyond tourism. We spend our days exploring the same waters, islands, reefs and mangrove forests that local communities have depended on for generations.
That gives us a responsibility. We don’t want to simply take people to beautiful places. We want to help protect them.
Our long-term vision is to connect tourism with meaningful conservation projects across the destinations we operate in — starting with the places closest to our own journeys.

Your journey can help support the journey of the places you visit.
As Tidetribe grows, we will allocate part of our platform revenue towards conservation initiatives. This could help support:
- Mangrove planting and restoration
- Marine and coastal conservation
- Protection of marine habitats
- Coastal clean-up initiatives
- Reforestation and agroforestry
- Community-led conservation
- Environmental education
- Sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities
Rather than treating conservation as a marketing add-on, we want it to become part of how Tidetribe operates.
Real places, real people, real progress.
We believe you should be able to see where your support goes. As our conservation programme develops, we’ll share the projects, communities and organisations we support — along with updates on what has been achieved. Over time, we want to show more than a number.

Reporting soonPlanting a mangrove is only the beginning.
For conservation to have a lasting impact, ecosystems need to be maintained, communities need to be involved and projects need to continue long after the first planting day.
- Long-term
- Locally led
- Community involved
- Demonstrable impact
That’s why we’re interested in supporting long-term, locally led projects rather than one-off activities alone. Where possible, we look for partners who understand the local environment, work with surrounding communities and can demonstrate how their projects create lasting benefits.
We want to show what we’re actually doing.
Tidetribe is still growing. That means our conservation programme will grow with us.
We’re building towards a model where our contribution becomes increasingly measurable and transparent, allowing travelers to see how Tidetribe is helping support the places they explore.
We don’t want to make vague promises about changing the world. We want to show what we’re actually doing.
As the programme develops, we’ll publish updates on:
- The projects we support
- The organisations and communities involved
- Contributions made through Tidetribe
- Mangroves and habitats restored
- Conservation activities supported
- Progress over time
Every Tidetribe trip is part of a much bigger ecosystem.
- A boat leaves the shore.
- A guide takes guests into the islands.
- A local crew earns a living.
- A community benefits from tourism.
- Part of that tourism economy flows back to protecting the natural environment.
Travel should not simply consume beautiful places. It should help keep them beautiful.
Good questions, straight answers.
Does my booking cost more because of conservation?
No. Our aim is to fund our conservation commitment through Tidetribe’s own revenue rather than adding a mandatory conservation charge to your booking.
Where does Tidetribe’s conservation contribution go?
We intend to support projects focused on mangrove restoration, marine and coastal conservation, reforestation and community-led environmental initiatives. As projects are confirmed, we’ll share more information about where contributions are going.
Can I support a specific conservation project?
We’re exploring ways for travelers to make additional voluntary contributions towards specific projects in the future.
Do you work with local communities?
Yes. Wherever possible, we want conservation projects to be locally led or developed with the communities that live alongside these ecosystems.
How will I know what my booking has supported?
As the programme develops, we’ll publish updates on our conservation contributions and the projects they support. We want Tidetribe’s impact to be visible, measurable and accountable.
